The UK has committed to reaching Net Zero by 2050 to keep global warming to no more than 1.5°C. Businesses emit 18% of UK emissions – half of this is from SMEs but most SMEs (76%) are yet to commence decarbonisation. This is despite customers, investors, supply chains and even kids(!) wanting to know about emissions reduction.
So we’ve developed the 3-step MIMI Framework to support SMEs on their decarbonisation journey, turning them into Net Zero Heroes.

Measure
You can’t manage what you haven’t measured – we start by mapping your emissions footprint across Scopes 1, 2 and 3. We do this for you, rather than you having to work out how to use free online calculators or complicated software. We require minimum input and will walk you through the results so that you can properly understand your emissions profile.
Step 1 takes 4-6 weeks and you’ll get a 1-page report detailing your emissions profile.
2. INSPIRE
After getting your emissions profile you’ll need to know how to reduce it. We draw upon our experience working with climate tech innovations to highlight products and services that could reduce your emissions, making recommendations bespoke to your business. These solutions could also cut costs and/or increase efficiency.
Step 2 takes 2-4 weeks and you’ll get 3-5 key emissions reduction recommendations, bespoke to your business.
3. Manage Implementation
There’s nothing more satisfying than implementing the solutions that turn you into a Net Zero Hero! We can play a supporting role in terms of managing engagement with potential suppliers, specification processes and ultimately, the implementation of solutions.
Step 3 is ‘how long is a piece of string’ – we’ll start by tailoring an Implementation Plan to your business, desired timeline and budget.

We’ve worked with hundreds of low-emissions technologies and solutions over the last 20yrs, but deployment can be slow, particularly amongst smaller businesses. We saw an opportunity to speed this up by working with SMEs in the race to reach net zero.
